Artist Statement 01

Artists have always utilized technology to progress their work, whether it's a new medium or tool. It is a symbiotic relationship between art and science. This has assisted the artist in shaping the ideals and beliefs that define and distinguish a culture. We live in a unique epoch of humanity, in which, technology and knowledge is readily available and at an exponential pace. With so much information available, we are attempting to make sense of our finite existence and what it means for humanity's future.

My work, ultimately is just observations of the world we live in and the one that we have created. Whether it be politics, religion, or art itself, I am always in search of fresh new takes on expressing these experiences as in my current mixed media pieces “Handle with Care” and “War”. Both Works are multifaceted in materials and meaning, which gives these pieces an intriguing “simplistic complexity”, as I call it.

With so much wealth inequality, political and social unrest, we are in uncertain times, and it is my intention to document these events, creating a dialog while telling our story for generations to come.
